“Trauma can change the way we move through life. Healing can help us find a new stride.”

About Shifting Strides

Healing is rarely about taking one giant leap. More often, it begins with a single shift—a new perspective, a moment of courage, or one intentional step in a different direction.

At Shifting Strides, we believe meaningful change happens through connection: connection to ourselves, to others, to nature, and to the horses who have an incredible way of reflecting what words often cannot.

The name Shifting Strides was inspired by both horses and the human experience. In horsemanship, a horse shifts its stride to find greater balance, connection, and responsiveness. In life, we often find ourselves needing to shift as well—whether that's changing old patterns, processing painful experiences, strengthening relationships, or discovering a new way of moving through the world. Those shifts don't have to be dramatic. Often, they begin with one intentional step.

Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or looking for a more experiential path toward healing, Shifting Strides is a place where you can explore, grow, and discover that even the smallest shift can change the direction of your journey.
